Yes, I do remember I have this thing. XD It's been forever since I last updated, but then again it's also been forever since I've made anything really substantial or worth talking about.

So I present to you a few large digital works I worked on in the past 2009 year for various orgs and personal fun, and a few digital drawings as well. :) I've been practicing on my tablet during my free time, hoorah!

Both sections go from oldest to most recent...

Well, not AP Studio Art. It being college and all, I had to retake it again for my art history major. Two projects I worked on during the quarter.....

Two new pieces I wanted to show off!!

Art Project : Create something using "you" as the medium.

Media : Watercolor, Acrylics, Ink, Newspapers
Thoughts : I think this could've been done better. I feel like it looks a little "n00b", if that makes sense. Mostly in terms of color choice. D: But the TA only really criticized my use of newspaper, although it's probably my favourite part. (That, or the faces.)

Media : Photoshop
Resources : sxc.hu & AppendixSquared
Thoughts : First digital large piece I've done in a while. I like it alright.

It's like 3am here but I need to finish my VisArt flashcards so I'm going to take a quick break in order to bring you some OLD-ish art. (Not really old, made within the last few months at least.)

Random sig0rz. Uhhh I dunno I was trying some new stuff and this came out.
I suppose. <__>;;;

TEH album cover for teh FST that me and milkfed lynnest worked on. ♥♥
I liked it a lot, it somehow came out right.
This leads me to believe that working on graphics at home >>>>> working on graphics on lappy.

MORE experiments. This time working with similar styles from my previous Concentration pieces for studio art.
I liked it, although I think it amazes people that I purposely took depth away. @_@

Yus that is the only digiart i've been up to as of late. :D Well, that are completed.... :\ I have some traditional stuff, but that's not going to be done for AGES and AGES, knowing m pace of drawing.

Enjoy. :D

So I'm in this club called Rockin' Roosevelt, which is a club where the members plan out this concert. (Probably explains why I've been semi-busy, I guess.) Brooks, the manager wanted everyone to participate and try making a poster to advertise for the concert before it's held at the end of February.

The theme is Mardi Gras, so that explains the tacky color choices of purple, green, and gold. :\ I really really wished it weren't so fugs.

Well, here it is!!!

Yeah, we got Federation to perform. (they're the guys who sing the song "I wear my stunna glasses at night" song. Whatever.)

Yup! That was my submission. I don't know if I actually "won" the poster thing yet, but I'm hoping I will. I would pretty much be so excited to see my poster put up all over my college campus.

It was all done via Illustrator, and a widdle bit of Photoshop too.

LOLS it was coming!!! All my old sigs and crap. <:D I'll try to give an estimate date but  uhhhhh no guarantees. @_@ (and of course, I'm doing this because I'm a failure and haven't done anything new in a while. Ughh.)

FEEL FREE TO LAUGH AT ME, for I laugh at myself. :')

Last thoughts : whoa. Well, compared to the creativity that I used to have....my stuff really declined ever since Studio Art maimed my ability to work small-canvas's well. I also blame college for never giving me time to work on graphics. <:D

But I had my shining moments. They're gone, but they were nice lols.

Thanks for all who looked!!

Edit; I forgot to credit the most important people in all of this. xinny_boy, paperastronauts, burmecia...anybody involved in SquareInsider forums back then. (fireboy, skurai, hentai, alexa, bolang,  exmachina... ) I've known you all as graphic designers since 2003!! That's pretty much the very beginning. You guys were competitive and inspirational and I appreciate it.

So as I was pondering over some things during my Formation of Modern Art class, some thoughts on pop art and an extreme distaste for an amateur view of it came up.

This is like a mini "article" on thoughts concerning it, with an obvious bias opinion. And where else would I voice these opinions than in my art blog? <:D

Anyways, cut for elongated thoughts. Don't mind any grammar mistakes. @_@

(I'm placing my conclusion for those to read if they don't care for the mass bulk bitchery.)

In the end I have to thank those very ignorant handful of people in my Modern Art class for my slight (if not, extreme) bitterness towards the whole pop art movement. Because the people who claim that pop art is such a "bang!" without knowing anything past the cliche Andy Warhol fanaticism are really missing out on everything else there is to experience past colorful silkscreens and repeated images. Because past the smiling face of Marilyn Monroe, there lies fragmented collages containing messages of our media-driven lives or flags with underlying dirt and grime. There lies a whole other world that is hidden, shadowed behind a very large Campbell Soup can.

Sorry if the argument is a little fragmented lols. <:D I tend to get a little ranty and scattered in my thoughts.

These are literally the first sigs n' stuff I've made in like...a month or two. @___@;;; I've been really THAT slow with graphic designing much. And they're just three sigs actually. I'm also throwing in a Nintendo DS R4 skin that I made. (It's so fun!!! I just wish I had more time to sit around and make them.)

So here's teh stuff!!

That's all!! Just an update on graphic stuff I've been making.

Okay so I didn't have time to take a picture of my over-burdened charm bracelet I made for myself. I guess that'll come another time, since I unfortunately left it at my boyfriend's house. But here's a picture of a necklace I made for my best friend's x-mas gift. (It's part of the gift anyways.)

So yeah, my first jewelry post. Kind of anticlimatic, no? But I hope the next one will be better. I should have a pic of my charm braclet and the other bracelet I'm making for my other good friend Vivian.
